🔍 Study Guide Search
The Search Study Guides bar appears at the top of the page (just below the blue header) whenever you are in Study Guides or Practice Questions mode. It lets you instantly search across the available demo study guides without having to open each one individually.
How to Use It
Type any keyword or phrase into the search box — results appear as you type
Each result card shows the guide name, the section heading, and a text snippet with your search terms highlighted
Click “📖 Open Section” on any result to open that study guide and jump directly to the matching section
Click × or press Esc to clear the search
What Gets Searched
The demo search indexes every section heading and its content across the available demo guides:
Aviation 101, Regulations, Airspace
Aviation Weather, Effects of Weather, Loading & Performance
Aeronautical Decision Making
Tip: The guides are indexed automatically in the background when you first visit Study Guides or Practice Questions mode — by the time you start typing, the index is ready. Results are ranked so that matches in section headings appear first.
Pro Tip: Use search from the Practice Questions screen to quickly look up a topic while setting up a practice session — no need to switch modes first.
📚 Practice Questions
Best for: Studying specific topics at your own pace
Select demo categories - Choose from the available preview topics
Set question count - Type a number or use the quick-pick buttons (10, 25, 50, All)

Progress storage - Exam Simulation results are stored locally in your current browser and do not sync across devices or browsers
π FAA Test Supplement
The "View/Download Test Supplement" button (located below the mode selection) opens the official FAA Remote Pilot Test Supplement PDF.
What is the Test Supplement?
The FAA Test Supplement is a document containing all the figures, charts, legends, and reference materials you'll need to answer certain exam questions. This includes:
Sectional charts - Portions of aeronautical charts showing airspace, airports, and terrain
Chart legends - Symbols and their meanings
Airport diagrams - Runway layouts and taxiway configurations
Weather charts - Surface analysis and prognostic charts
Performance tables - Weight and balance, density altitude calculations
Figures in This Practice Test
β Good news! We've built the figures directly into this practice test for your convenience. When a question references a figure, it will automatically display in the figure viewer panel β no need to look it up manually!
However, we strongly recommend also practicing with the actual Test Supplement PDF because:
Exam day experience - On the real exam, you'll need to flip through a physical booklet to find figures
Figure familiarity - Learn where different figures are located in the supplement
Time management - Practice finding figures quickly so you don't waste time on exam day
Full context - See figures at full size and understand their relationship to other charts
How It's Used on the Actual Exam
During your official FAA Part 107 exam at the testing center:
You will be provided with a printed copy of the Test Supplement
Questions will reference specific figures (e.g., "Refer to Figure 21")
You'll look up the figure in your supplement to find the information needed
The supplement is the same for everyone β familiarize yourself with it before test day!
Example: Using the Test Supplement
Sample Question: "(Refer to Figure 26, Area 2) What is the floor of Class E airspace at the Coeur D'Alene Airport?"
How to answer:
Open the Test Supplement and find Figure 26
Locate Area 2 on that figure (areas are marked with circles and numbers)
Find the Coeur D'Alene Airport within that area
Look for the Class E airspace boundary at Coeur D'Alene airport to determine the floor of Class E airspace at the airport
Use the Legend to interpret any symbols you're unsure about
Recommended Practice Approach
First pass: Use the built-in figures in this practice test to learn the material quickly
Second pass: Download and print the Test Supplement (or use the pdf version on your computer) and try answering figure questions by looking them up manually
Before exam day: Do at least one full practice test using only the printed supplement (hide the built-in figure viewer)
Pro Tip: Download and print the Test Supplement. Practice using it with a physical copy just like you'll have on exam day. Familiarity with the figures will save you valuable time during the actual test!
Randomization Options
These options are available in Practice Mode only. In Test Mode, questions and answers are always randomized to simulate the real exam.
Randomize Questions
ON - Questions appear in different order each time
OFF (default) - Questions appear in stored order
Tip: Turn this ON to prevent memorizing question order instead of learning the material.
Randomize Answers (Answer Choices)
ON - Answer choices (A, B, C) are shuffled
OFF (default) - Answers stay in original positions
Tip: Turn this ON to ensure you understand the correct answer, not just its position.

Your selected answer is marked correct (green) or incorrect (red)
The correct answer is highlighted in green
The explanation for the correct answer is revealed below the options
A "Next Question β" button appears so you can read the explanation before moving on
Tip: Take time to read the full explanation even when you get a question right β the explanation often contains important details that will help on related questions.
Exam Simulation Mode β Submit at the End
In Exam Simulation Mode, no feedback is shown during the test. Select your answers and navigate freely between questions using the β Previous and Next β buttons.
The "β Grade Test" button appears when you reach the last question
If you skipped any questions, a β οΈ warning will appear below the Grade Test button showing how many are unanswered β you can go back and answer them before grading
If you choose to grade with unanswered questions, you will be asked to confirm β unanswered questions are marked incorrect
If the 30-minute demo timer expires, a popup will appear. You can choose to grade your test as-is or exit to the main menu

π Review Study Information On This Topic
After answering a question in Practice Mode, you'll see an explanation of the correct answer. At the bottom of many explanations, you'll find a blue button:
π Review Study Information On This Topic
What Does This Button Do?
Clicking this button opens the relevant Study Guide and takes you directly to the specific section that covers the topic tested by that question. This creates a seamless learning loop:
Answer a question β Test your knowledge
Read the explanation β Understand why the answer is correct
Click the button β Dive deeper into the topic in the Study Guide
Return and continue β Apply what you learned to more questions
Example
Scenario: You answer a question about night operations incorrectly.
The explanation tells you: "Per 14 CFR 107.29, operations after official sunset require anti-collision lighting visible for at least 3 statute miles..."
You click: "Review Study Information On This Topic"
Result: The Regulations Study Guide opens directly to the Night Operations section, where you can read comprehensive information about:
Anti-collision lighting requirements
Civil twilight definitions
Night operations training requirements
Related regulations and exceptions
Why This Feature Matters
Targeted learning β Jump directly to what you need to study, not the entire guide
Immediate reinforcement β Review material right when you realize you need it
Efficient studying β No searching through pages to find relevant information
Better retention β Connecting questions to source material improves memory
Pro Tip: When you get a question wrong, always click the "Review Study Information On This Topic" button before moving on. Taking 2-3 minutes to review the material will help you remember the concept and get similar questions right in the future!
Tips for Success
Start with Study Guides - Read through the material before attempting questions
Use the Search bar - Type any topic (e.g. "class B airspace" or "night operations") to instantly find the right section across the available demo guides
Download the Test Supplement - Familiarize yourself with the figures you'll see on exam day
Use Practice Mode first - Focus on one category at a time
Use bookmarks - Mark questions you need to study more
Review explanations - Understand why answers are correct
Click "Review Study Information" - Dive deeper into topics you missed
Try "Focus on Weak Areas" - In demo mode, this uses only your demo Exam Simulation attempts
Practice with figures - Many questions require chart interpretation
Try the timed demo - Use Demo Exam Simulation to preview the pressure and pacing of a timed test
π Exam Simulation Progress
Your demo Exam Simulation results and progress are automatically saved in this browser so you can see how the tracking features work.
What's Tracked
Tests Completed - Total number of tests you've taken
Average Score - Your overall average across all tests
Last/Best Score - Most recent and highest scores
Category Performance - Breakdown by topic area showing weak and strong areas
How It Works
Your progress is saved using your browser's local storage. This means:
π Important: Demo Exam Simulation progress is stored only on the browser and device you are currently using. If you switch browsers, use a different device, clear your browser data, or use private/incognito mode, your progress may not appear.
β Your data persists when...
β Your data is lost when...
You close the browser tab
You clear browser history/cache
You close the entire browser
You use Incognito/Private mode
You restart your computer
You switch to a different browser

You switch to a different device
Important: Your progress is saved per browser, per device. If you use Chrome on your laptop, your progress won't appear in Safari or on your phone. For cross-device sync, log in with your account.
Collapsible Category Performance
The category breakdown bars can take up a lot of screen space. You can collapse them using the "▲ Hide Details" button in the Exam Simulation Progress panel header:
Expanded — Shows all category bars in full. This is the default view after completing a test so you always see your fresh results.
Collapsed — Hides the category bars but keeps the four stat cards (Tests Completed, Average Score, Last Score, Best Score) visible. Your preference is saved automatically and persists across sessions.
Note: The π― Focus on Weak Areas button is always visible in both states — you can act on your results even when the panel is collapsed.
Focus on Weak Areas
After completing a few tests, you'll see a "π― Focus on Weak Areas" button below the stat cards. This automatically starts a practice session targeting only the categories where you scored below 70%.
Clearing Exam Simulation Progress
To start fresh, click "Reset Analytics & Tracking" in the progress panel. This permanently deletes your locally saved Exam Simulation analytics, readiness tracking, category performance, and question history for this browser. Practice sessions, study guides, and your account are not affected.

π― Exam Readiness Tracker Preview
In demo mode, this section previews how the full program tracks Exam Simulation performance. Because the demo uses a shortened sample test, it should not be treated as a true readiness assessment.
How It Works
In the full program, the tracker monitors your last 5 Exam Simulation scores:
Grey slots = No score yet (need to complete more tests)
Green slots = Score of 85% or higher β
Red slots = Score below 85%
Achieving "Exam Ready" Status
In the full program, Exam Ready status is based on scoring 85% or higher on all 5 of your most recent Exam Simulation attempts. The demo only shows how that workflow looks.
Maintaining "Exam Ready" Status
Once you've achieved Exam Ready status, you'll maintain it as long as:
At least 4 of your last 5 Exam Simulation scores are 85% or higher, AND
Your average across those 5 tests is 80% or higher
This allows for an occasional off day without losing your status, while still ensuring you maintain strong overall performance.
Falling Out of "Exam Ready" Status
You'll lose your Exam Ready status if:
Fewer than 4 of your last 5 scores are at 85%+, OR
Your 5-test average drops below 80%
Don't worry - just keep practicing and get more 85%+ scores to regain your status!
Why 85%?
In the full program, students are encouraged to build a comfortable margin before taking the actual FAA exam. The demo is meant to preview the tracker, not certify readiness.
Note: The Exam Readiness Tracker preview only appears when you select Demo Exam Simulation. Practice Mode sessions don't count toward this preview.
